Com in Beeld

Our goals

  • Increasing the self-direction and social participation of people with a communicative disability as a result of a mental and/or physical disability, psychological and/or behavioral problems and/or chronic illness.

  • The foundation tries to achieve its goal, among other things, by researching, developing and applying audiovisual communication techniques and methodologies within methods, projects, trajectories and studies that increase the communicative possibilities and the visibility of these target groups in, among other things, the home, care, education and society.

  • In order to make language and communication possible, all forms of supported communication are used, such as speech computers. This is made possible through the unique collaboration with AAC technology Dundee University Scotland, AssistiveWare and RDGKompagne.

Their self-created photographs and films can be used to support communication, share personal experiences, and tell stories, thereby strengthening language skills and participation. The Film as Observable Communication (FaOC) method provides a practical approach for this.
